Stop Stopping

I would say how in the world is it February already, but January felt like it was 80 days long! How are we doing, fam? A lot are just beginning or restarting their IF journey this time of year….whether you started January 1 st or you’re 2 weeks in, making a huge change in your life can be overwhelming. It can be emotional, stressful and down-right suck once your body begins to reach the end of your daily glycogen stores and is able to tap into your fat stores daily….in other words, you’re almost adjusted and using your fat burning super powers every freaking day! It truly takes a different amount of time for everyone! Some adapt in 2 weeks or a month and others it takes months! It really is an experiment of ONE.

If you are reading this and you’ve been moody, stressed out, white-knuckling your fasts, headaches…your body may be getting ready to be fat-adapted – which is where the magic happens!! So – if this describes YOU….please, PLEASE don’t give up! Up your electrolytes (pink salt or any unflavored electrolyte supplement with Nothing but salt basically added), up your water intake and CARRY ON – adjust your windows if you need to, just don’t stop…then start again, then stop…STOP STOPPING!! You are about to tap into the magic of the clean fast and find your sweet spot!

Finding your sweet spot – or how I like to call listening to your body and fasting and feasting to match your goals is everything. Does it matter what you’re eating in your windows? Some will argue with me but I would be hard-pressed to find anyone who’s had long-term success with this way of life tell me no. To me, it matters what you’re eating, drinking, your stress levels, sleep patterns, exercise – it all matters. Does that mean we have to be stuck in “diet brain”? Absolutely NOT. You can simply DELAY the food/drink you want! Sometimes delaying it means for a week, a month – or MAYBE you decide you don’t even want this food/drink any longer at ALL because it does not serve your body or your health goals.

Fast on, friends.
